About Us
Our Story
Choice Home Help was established in 2017 after our founder, Registered Nurse Nicole Walton, experienced first-hand the challenges of finding the right care for her mother-in-law, who was living with dementia.
Like many families, we found that the services available at the time didn’t provide the personalised, flexible support we were looking for. Rather than accepting that, Nicole decided to create the kind of home care service she would want for her own family - one built on compassion, respect and genuine relationships.
What started as a small local business has grown almost entirely through word of mouth, with families recommending us to their friends, neighbours and loved ones. In 2027, we proudly celebrate 10 years of caring for Western Australians.
Nurse-Led Care with Real Experience
Nicole has been a Registered Nurse for more than 30 years and has worked across a wide range of healthcare settings. Her experience includes public and private hospitals, plastic and reconstructive surgery, general practice, aeromedical and flight nursing, hospital management, operational management within immigration detention centres across Australia, together with many other clinical and leadership roles.
This broad background gives our team a deep understanding of the healthcare system and the confidence to support clients with everything from simple daily assistance through to complex care needs.
More Than Just Home Care
At Choice Home Help, we don’t just provide services - we advocate for our clients.
If something doesn’t seem right, whether it’s a government funding decision, an assessment outcome or support being provided by another organisation, we’ll help you understand your options and, where appropriate, advocate on your behalf. We believe every older Australian deserves to receive the support they’re entitled to, and we’re passionate about helping people navigate what can often be a confusing system.
We also enjoy giving back to our community by providing free information sessions and educational talks for community groups, helping older Australians and their families better understand aged care and the support available to them.
Proudly Local
Our office is based in Wangara, and we’re proud to be an independent, Western Australian-owned business.
In 2024, we entered the local business awards for the very first time and were honoured to receive recognition for our commitment to quality care and community service.
Although we’ve grown significantly since opening our doors, our focus remains exactly the same as it was in 2017 - treating every client with kindness, dignity and the same care we’d want for our own family.
